Ever since the first time I saw Salvador Dali’s art when I was a young child
I was instantly fascinated by the concept of surrealism. I have always been
intrigued by dreams and the subconscious mind. I love the idea of images
within images. This is clear in all of my work whether it’s a
photograph, painting or drawing.
I’ve always been an avid nature lover, embracing all forms of life on this
planet. I am currently a student of herbal medicine with a particular
fondness for photographing plants and trees. When I alter the coloring
I'm reminded of the “plant spirit medicine” that
makes herbalism so alluring to me.
As far as my digitally altered photography goes
I discovered this technique by accidently playing around
with a printer editing program! Hence, the birth of
what you now see featured here.
One of my favorite quotes by the late great John Lennon states:
”Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.”
I don’t plan my art. I photograph spontaneously, pick out an image that
makes me linger just a little bit longer than the others and see what
happens when I play with the buttons!
I hope you find yourself as inspired by my art as I have been
